Start the burst brightness adjustment of the CCFL display in sequence

Abstract: In order to reduce the demand for the instantaneous current of the DC inverter, the DS3984 / DS3988 cold cathode fluorescent lamp controller adopts the method of sequentially starting burst brightness adjustment to control each channel of the LCD display.

Figure 1 shows the sequence start delay of channel 1 to channel 4 provided by the DS3984 / DS3988 cold cathode fluorescent lamp controller. The DS3988 8-channel controller or the DS3984 / DS3988 series-connected multi-channel controller use the same working mode.

The waveform shown in Figure 2 is the current demand for the DC inverter power supply in the sequential startup mode. In this example, the range of the burst brightness adjustment is 50%, the power supply current slowly climbs to 3A, and then slowly decreases to 0A.
