According to the reporter, foreign markets, especially the high-end markets in Europe and America, pay more attention to photobiosafety. The International Organization for Standardization has long been concerned about the safety of LED light radiation. At first, LED products were included in the laser category and included in the IEC 60825-1 standard. But after all, LEDs and lasers are not the same, so the L ED standard was finally adjusted to the non-laser product standard IEC 62471 for evaluation. Although many countries such as Europe and Japan can also carry out LED light radiation safety requirements assessment according to IEC 60825-1, in the near future, all will adopt IEC 62471.

The emission limits, the measurement conditions of the lamp and lamp system, and the classification of the lamps are specified in IEC 62471. In terms of exposure limits, the standard clearly indicates the retinal blue hazard exposure limit and the retinal blue hazard exposure limit (small light source). Among them, the non-hazardous lamp must meet the damage of the retinal blue light (LB) within 10000s (about); the dangerous light of class 1 must meet the blue light damage of the retina within 100s; the hazard lamp of class 2 must meet the retina within 0.25s. At present, from the market situation, optical grade PC materials have always been monopolized by foreign companies represented by Japanese Teijin, which is not unrelated to the fact that mainland Chinese consumers always only pay attention to the terminal price of LEDs. Under the circumstances that the specific standards have not yet been introduced, everyone is naturally reluctant to consider using a PC material lampshade that eliminates the LED blue light hazard to increase the extra cost.

According to the reporter's visit to several packaging companies, everyone is holding a wait-and-see attitude toward the blue light hazard of LED. Even with the recent domestic orders of listed companies, there are no LED luminaire manufacturers to propose specific procurement requirements for Blu-ray hazards. Deng Huizhen said that the current orders are mainly for school and government projects.

There are also packaging manufacturers who believe that their light source is in compliance with international standards even after testing according to IEC 62471 standard, and has applied for photobiosafety certification, so there is no need to add a PC material lampshade to eliminate LED blue light hazard to increase cost.

Deng Huizhen believes that as long as the blue chip and yellow phosphor are used to excite the white light, it is impossible to have no blue light band at all.
