[Global Scientific Report] According to foreign media reports on February 16, the BlackBerry filed a lawsuit against the Federal Court of Wilmington, Delaware, on the 14th, saying that Nokia's Flexi Multiradio series of base stations, wireless network controllers and Liquid Radio software infringed the BlackBerry. There are 11 technical patents that require Nokia to pay for royalties. The exact number has not been disclosed.

The BlackBerry wrote, "In the development of its groundbreaking mobile communications devices, BlackBerry and its companies have invented key new technologies covering LTE and Universal Mobile Telecommunications Systems/UTRAN communications. For example, providing seamless voice services for LTE users is Resolved by Blackberry."

Blackberry said that some of its industries have kept in mind that standard patents originated from the Nortel Networks, including the earliest one, with patent number 6996418, and the priority date was December 2000. Nokia participated in the patent competition of Nortel Networks in 2009, but it was eventually bought by the Rockstar consortium of companies such as BlackBerry, Apple, and Microsoft, and offered $4.5 billion.
