Phosphor Global Summit issues Call for Papers

The Phosphor Global Summit 2008 program committee and IntertechPira are inviting abstract submissions from interested parties for consideration by the conference organizers.
Phosphor Global Summit is the industry's only conference dedicated exclusively to the applications, technological developments, and markets for phosphors. IntertechPira is pleased to welcome back Kathryn Conway, Principal, LED Consulting and Thomas Juestel, Professor, University of Applied Sciences Muenster & Principal Scientist, Philips Research Aachen as conference co-chairs.
The conference will be held March 3-5, 2008 at the Hilton San Diego Resort in San Diego, California.
Topics to be covered at Phosphor Global Summit 2008 include:
Bull; State of the market and future forecasts
Bull; Phosphors for general lighting
Bull; Energy policy and the affect on supply and demand of lamps
Patent law and intellectual property rights
Scintillator phosphors and x-ray phosphors for medical and biochemical applications

Sufficiency of rare earth phosphor supply

Additional topic ideas are also welcome and will be given full consideration.
A completed submission should include presentation title, presenter's name, job title, affiliation, and a summary of no more than one page. Abstracts must be received by October 5, 2007 and may be submitted by fax +1 207 781 2150 or email .Topic Ideas for preconference seminars are also invited at this time. Preconference seminars are classroom style workshops intended for 20-30 participants. They are designed to provide ample time for in-depth discussion, questions and answers, and student-instructor interaction, with the average Seminar being 2.5-3 hours in length.
